History of Aeromech Engineering Since 1999, AeroMech Engineering has specialized in the design and development of prototype and production unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for various major aerospace companies. To date, AeroMech Engineering has produced more than 750 fully autonomous UAVs of varying types ranging from 4-lb battery powered aircraft to 150-lb jet powered aircraft. Products and Services AeroMech Engineering provides engineering services in the areas of aeronautical, mechanical, and manufacturing and a variety of metallic and composite fabrication services. From concept definition to production, AeroMech Engineering can provide a complete engineered, high quality solution to your product development needs. Company History Founded in 1999 by two Cal Poly San Luis Obispo engineering graduates, AeroMech Engineering has sought to capture a growing share of the mini / micro UAV market. Located in beautiful San Luis Obispo on California's Central Coast, AeroMech Engineering employs a diverse team of aeronautical, mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineers and a highly skilled fabrication staff. AeroMech prides itself on building strong working relationships with its customers, vendors, team members, and academia. Currently, AeroMech maintains two working facilities providing a range of engineering and fabrication services. AeroMech and San Luis Obispo AeroMech Engineering maintains a working relationship with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. AeroMech provides both engineering and fabrication assistance to various school programs including the AIAA Design/Build/Fly team, the ASCE Concrete Canoe team, and the SAE FormulaSAE team. As one of the sole representatives of the aerospace industry in the San Luis Obispo area, AeroMech has been and continues to be a source for senior project and masters thesis topics. |
